Elektrokur Ltd. was founded in 1977 by Dervis Tarimer and Lutfiye Tarimer in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The company started its life as a producer and trader of electrical supplies. Later on it became an important player in the Cypriot electricity market by acquiring the rights of many well-known brands with the participation of other family members.
Elektrokur Ltd. is a family business and has taken serious steps to implement a corporate culture within the company. At present there are 7 members of the board of directors within the body of Elektrokur Ltd. With its family integrity and experienced staff, it has given business development a whole new perspective.
Besides from producing electrical wire systems Elektrokur Ltd. is also the local importer and the distributor of many lighting and electric brands. It has 3 branches spread across North Cyprus. These branches are respectively located in Nicosia, Kyrenia and Famagusta. Imported brands are chosen among the top brands from Turkey, Europe and various other locations. For lighting and electricity OSRAM, Ledvance, T&J, Elettrocanali, Schneider, Legrand, Onesto, Horoz, Pelsan, Fumagalli, Özcan Aydınlatma and Duragreen are some of the prestigous brands that Elektrokur Ltd. offers.
Elektrokur Ltd. is the importer of brands that have made a name with quality in the field of home, office and garden furniture products in the direction of growing and growing business volume. As of December 2009, Index Living Mall has been added to the Northern Cyprus retail market. Index Living Mall is exhibiting and selling furniture and accessories products with its 4500 square meter store area in Nicosia. Apart from being a world famous brand Index is the store site, for Teleset Furniture, Furniture Muzaffer and Seyran Furniture.
Elektrokur Ltd. City Mall Cyprus, which is the latest investment of the Elektrokur Family and is the largest Shopping and Life Center in Northern Cyprus, with a total area of 30,000 square meters of closed area, 7000 square meters of open space and 5 floors. With its 60 shops, 5 movie halls, INDEX furniture store with 4500 square meters of capacity, food market with 2500 square meters of capacity, 1000 square meters of construction store and 1100 parking lots City Mall serves its guests with great pride.
Currently within City Mall Index, Index kids and Baby, 5.10.15 kids shop, Graco Baby Shop, Mudo, English Home, Twigy, Historical Sultanahmet Köfte Restaurant and Cinemall are all managed by Elektrokur Ltd.
Currently there are approximately 600 people employed at City Mall, and our visitors are provided with various services in a safe and comfortable environment.
